Situated South of Newcastle, East of County Durham, and North of Tees Valley, Sunderland is a coastal city within easy access to neighbouring larger scale cities, 30 minutes from Newcastle International and Durham Tees Valley International airports and now has its own direct high speed train service to London provided by Grand Centrail Rail running 3 trains daily.

Although Sunderland or Durham do not have a 'Gay Scene' or 'Gay Village' as such there is a selection of Gay and Gay Friendly venues giving the LGBT community a place to go out!
